Up and out early this morning. The campers were up until 1 and really loud. We just want to leave before they wake up.
We had breakfast at Burger King where we noticed so many vehicles having severe damage to the bodies due to weather. The moisture is harsh on the metal.
After traveling over a beautiful old bridge, we went past a house where two cattle dogs came rushing towards us. Using the small marine horns stopped them. They are so loud and I think it left the dogs stunned.
Then, we saw 3 vultures ahead cleaning up a dead raccoon.
Today we  are riding into a strong headwind so breaks are more frequent.
Beautiful birdhouses and whitetail deer added to our day.
It’s 3:53 PM and along the side of the road, we see a cover at the cemetery and a graveside ceremony in progress. I can’t help to think of Bruce Elliott’s service about to happen on Redlands. We are 2 hours ahead. It is so sad to lose a fellow cyclist. I feel for those who were there when it happened and all who have to learn to move on without him. It solidifies the importance of living and loving without reservation.
Shortly after, it begins to rain. The rain feels good…cleansing.
We are not far from our destination so being wet is okay.
Arriving in Noblesville, we wind our way to our destination. Wet, tired and hungry, we are grateful for yet another amazing day.
